The Think. Check. Attend. campaign is our core ethical awareness initiative, designed to help researchers critically evaluate academic conferences before attending or submitting.
Before you attend, ask yourself:
- Is the conference organized by a recognized academic body or society?
- Are the speakers and organizers known in your field?
- Is the peer-review process transparent and clearly explained?
- Are the fees reasonable and publicly listed?
- Will your work be meaningfully disseminated (proceedings, indexing, etc.)?
